This evening I managed to glue some tiny PE levers to the pilots throttle quadrant. Then I glued the fuselage halves together. After that I turned my attention to the engines .These consist of resin crank cases and individual resin cylinders. After removing the crank cases from the pouring blocks with a razor saw,I washed the parts in washing up liquid solution, scrubbing them with an old tooth brush.I then tried super glueing the cylinders to the crank cases. But I'm having trouble getting them to bond together.Ive tried 3 different superglues without much success. So I'm going to have to use two part epoxy, which usually does the trick.

I've just spent a couple of hours cutting 28 cylinders from their pouring blocks and glueing them to the two crank cases.I used two part 5 minute epoxy for the job.The engines don't have push rod tubes included. The instructions suggest using lengths of plastic rod.So Ive bought a pack of Evergreen 35 thou rod.Thats tomorrow evenings job.

I've cut some pieces of plastic rod and glued them to the engines to act as push rod tubes.Finished one engine and got half way through the other before I got bored with doing it.Will finish it some other time.im thinking of adding some ignition leads as well.Ive also done a bit of sanding and filling on the fuselage. And I've glued the wings and tailplanes on.The tailplanes had locating tabs that were way too thick and wouldn't fit the fuselage slots. So I cut them off and butt joined them.

Progress has been slow on this one as I have been busy with other stuff.I finished adding plastic rod to the engines to represent push rod tubes. And I gave them a couple of coats of Alclad primer Last night.I maybe could have used thinner rod.But they are done now.I found some nice photos on the web to help with paint colours.
