Hi all well its not going to be metalic blue I bought some chrome spray paint from ALDI yesterday and thought I would give it a go, and I love it, I also bought some gold so will be doing it two tone chrome over gold.

That chrome spray looks great, might invest in some. Derek

Here is the gold effect paint.

the masking tape appears to have affected the chrome so I think when the gold is dry I will varnish the whole thing redo the chrome then varnish it again.

I have that affect regarding tape occasionally, normally when I forget to seal. Nice contrast in colours Ken, well unusual, that;s what I like about your builds...non conventional.

Is that chrome paint the PlastiKote stuff Ken? If so, I had the same problem. In fact, it never seemed to dry or harden off for me.

Yes it is plasticoat, it did feel dry and I could handle it before I put the masking tape on, even the bits that didn't have the tape on I can handle, but I does rub off very easily. I will see what happens when I varnish it.

Crap stuff really for models is that Plasti-coat stuff...I have a couple of tins left and just use for weathering.
