Do you think that once the oil has dryed a very fine dry brush of aluminium on the rivets might look good mate?

Polux , on my 109 E-4, all the panel lines & chipping were done with coloured pencils - no paint at all! I've done the same on my 1/72 Typhoon which I'll be posting soon

About an hour or so I got this idea to paint the camo in oils , well I thought if this has oil paint on it and I aply more oil paint it must be able to blend better

          Your thoughts please

I like it Alan, it's the closest you're gonna get to airbrushing with a hairy stick!

Now just leave it for a week for the oil paint to dry

That is looking great Alan. There were a could of already made 1/24 planes in a Charity Shop in my local town, these aren't as big as I first thought, looking forward to building mine, your tips are a great help to all of us doing this plane for the SIG, thanks for documenting it!!

thanks for that Mike I just do the basics in getting around problems and they work but if you spend a bit more effort like most do on here you'd never know they had any problems at all

Just back from holiday and I'm now absolutely terrified of the group build !!!

                              Off to buy:

                              Filler

                              Haynes Manual for Spitfire

                              Primer

                              Filler

                                Thanks very much chaps

It's drying off quite well now so I could have this done by early next week

I managed to get the rest of the camo on last night , oil paint is good, if you do get a finger print on the paint it easily brushes out and that can be hours after it's been applied
