I hate decal application. I still have the other side to do, upper and lower surfaces, stores and NVG formation lights!

          Hi Rick

Great work on the Tomcat. The many, many decals will really bring this jet to life.

          Cheers

Just a wash on this bird tonight while I had the weathering kit out, toned down nicely. It's not clear on this one but I've tried to replicate the tide mark where the wing root sweep is.

I don't like that thing the USN do to the edges of gear and panel doors.....very tedious to replicate with my lousy masking skills.

Getting closer to the finishing line, gears fitted and most of the doors, only two to fit then the pitot and AOA probes to go on. Weapons and jet pipe weathering last (which I should have done before fitting).

I finally got a colour that I like for the exhaust nozzles, True Metal Burnt Jet exhaust. I'm much happier with it but it needs a little more to finish it.

I have also added some pictures of the cockpit and canopy as many of you like to see this area. Not much more to do now.

                                Looking fantastic.

Back in the day Hasegawa were the dogs bits and a premium price would have to be paid for them......... £3.50 would have probably been what we paid back in 1985! Thank the Lord for charity shops! !

Looking forward to seeing this in the completed section.
