This time of the year is crazy, so little model time. Here's where we're at, both ready for some touch ups and yellow leading edges. I snapped the lower aerial off one, so replaced it with 0.6mm wire. The two bits of brass in the foreground on tape are the whip aerials to go on later. Everything else is ready to go on. Once the gloss is on it shouldn't take too long, hoping for a finish before the end of the year. ?

They look fabulous so far Joe ?
Funny you talking about Summer holding up your build as we are shivering away in the depths of winter here in GB ??

Those two do look good. Decals always finish planes off - the icing on the cake.
Don't mention summer. As Geoff says we've just come through a very cold spell.👍 2Comment

Decals went on today. The Academy decals were cast aside except for some stencil marks. I used the Xtradecal sheet for the D-Day 486 Squadron Tempest, and Xtradecal squadron codes for the Pierre Clostermann machine. The serial numbers were altered to JN821 for SA-H, and the serial code NV944 on JF-E was created using Ventura decals. The upper roundels on JF-E came from an Airfix Hawker Typhoon kit as they are spare to my requirements. I have some touch ups to do, then on to some washes and weathering. The decals are setting under Humbrol Decalfix.

Lovely pair of Tempests Joe, great job ?
Nice to see the Clostermann aircraft, I’ve got a soft spot for him as he did his Spitfire training at a now long gone airfield not to far from where I live ?
