Tworrs 1/32 Revell Stearman PT-17 Kaydet

I haven't built a biplane before, so here we go.
Some 20 years ago I was fortunate enough to have flown in a New Standard D-25 biplane at Fantasy of Flight in Florida USA.
While that was not a Stearman, this build brings back some fond memories.

Nice one Garry. Should be a good scale to work with.

Thanks Steve, I hope so, as the old eyes are battling a bit these days.

Sprue shots, which interestingly are stamped ICM, so obviously a rebox.

Looks interesting Garry. That blue and yellow scheme is rather attractive.

Same here Garry. I am moving more into 1/48 scale now inless its a large military jet where I might still have ago in 1/72.

I can't imagine trying 1/72 anymore Steve, I have all the magnifying devices, but unfortunately my left eye is pretty useless, so I'm working with one eye and judging distance is quite a challenge. It's a b*gger getting old mate ;-)

A little more progress, and so far the fit of this kit has been pretty good.

Nice choice of kit. Cockpit looks very nice. Glad the fit is good so far. Hopefully the rigging is not too challenging.

Yeah the rigging is going to be interesting Jim, it's not something I've tried before.

I really like the look of this kit. Your findings might result in me having to spend more money. Anyway, the detail looks good, and the cockpits seem nice and open. Nice work so far.

Thanks Colin, I'm happy enough with the kit so far. The rigging may be another matter though.
