    Papa695s 1/72 Airfix De Havilland Vampire T.11

While I’m waiting on some paint to arrive, I thought I’d start this one, I’m going to try metal foil on it. First time I’ve attempted this, but if all goes pair shaped, I can just paint it later.

I've built this kit twice but never tried metal foil. That will be interesting to watch.

Thanks Jim. I think I should have picked a bigger scale to practice on, but it was cheap. But like I said if it fails I can always paint it.

i always struggled with it for things like windscreen surrounds

Cheers Paul, I’ve never tried it. I was thinking of just painting the canopy frames anyway.

Smart looking cockpit especially given the scale.

I’ve got the wings and booms fitted, also started to foil the boom section in between them.

Great work Ian. Are you just using the cheapest thinnest foil available and what adheasive are you using to fix it in place.
