    Cheers JIm.

It certainly is colourful. Just the right camouflage to hurl around the Pacific in!

    Update. I hope.....

I have farsan's of those little Airfix Humbrol acrylic pots. Every conceivable colour, so I've used them to brush on the required colours.

I've not been too fussy re. the finish, as this will be an operational aircraft, not a squeeky clean, factory fresh example. So what weathering there will be, I am incorporating into my brushwork as I go along.

I've also backed out of making the three crew members. Far too difficult for me to get a result I would accept.

Unfortunately, one of the the black walkway wing decals disintegrated, so I had to freehand paint two new ones, 'cos painting just one would have looked different to 'tuther.

Here's the wings ready to fit in the open position.

Click image for larger version Name:	P1390438.jpg Views:	0 Size:	236.5 KB ID:	1253888

I'm happy with the result. The temporary stubs worked a treat.

There are still antennas, poking out bits etc., to fix, but I'll leave those 'till last - Guess why?!

Next up, I'll finish the model with all bits added and the wings folded.

Wohey! No disruption to my posting! No, I don't know what I did either, but......

    Cheers.

        Thanks Nick.

A great kit. All a lovely, no fuss fit. Well recommended.

...a challenge to paint, mind! But, none the less, fun to do.

I hope to post the finished and wings folded version tomorrow.

        Cheers.

Thanks for the nice compliments, Steve and Joe.

I'll add the remaining bits tomorrow. 'Bend' the wings, then give the whole thing a bit of weathering and a good brushing of satin varnish and that should do it.....

Yes, indeed the posting issues seem to have gone away.

I hope you are finding much the same, Joe.

              Cheers.

Fantastic job mate , I do have a soft spot for the devastator , only in its colourful markings though , it just reminds me of the old airfix I did as a kid , the colours were just such a change from the usual greens ,browns and greys , plus I do love a corrugated tin shed !
                        regards Arthur Two sheds

Thank you for your comments. Good stuff...

                          It's finished!
Brush painted with the little Humbrol pots. I've kept the weathering to a minimum, figuring there would be no mud and stuff, just a bit of general staining. I wanted it to stay reasonably 'Pretty'!

An all over coat of satin varnish finished it off.

The decals bedded in nicely into the corrugated wings.

A great kit, with a most excellent fit in all departments. A joy to build with very nice, all round detail.
The instructions were a little bit confusing (Wings up-wings down options) But that was more thicko me than the instructions! ????

                          Here's some of the pictures.

These first two show the wings open, but I still hadn't added the 'Break off bits'

That is an excellent result, very colourful. Clever to have wings folded and not folded.

Looks great Ron. A very colourful subject. Wingfold has come nicely as well. That’s always the most interesting bit on a carrier bird I think.
