    Piper Cub L4.....1/48.....Mistercraft

Originally a Heller kit back in the late 70s now punted out by Mistercraft

First impressions are that its a bit of a flashfest.....going to needsome cleaning up

There are 6 decal options.....at the mo i fancy either the French or Dutch ones.....not sure how good the decals are so it might be a case of make do

I know Mistercraft have a reputation for punting out other brands ancient and tired kits but thats part of the challenge aint it

Feeling adventurous? You could give it a civilian scheme of your choosing, the civilian designation is J3 Cub. Yellow seems to be common. Hey, it's not green/grey

Green over grey choice for me paul ???? , seriously though I love kits like this , its a good old tooling that just needs a bit of fettling and a massive choice of schemes ( although not colours ! )
looking forward to seeing this. , cheers tony

Having just had my eye test I'm slightly worried that I looked at the pics 3 times before I realised the sprues were there Good luck with the build

An unusual subject, an ancient kit - all good fun.

See...youre just like me.....todays kits with a zillion finely moulded parts that go together with no drama are fine but to take a simple nadgerly old kit and try to turn it into something presentable is incredible fun

Watch me crash and burn with this now

True , I love a good old un , in fact I’m currently halfway through fettling the Airfix 1/72 vampire fb5 , which is also a Heller tooling from the 70s , but conversely I’m also doing a Tamiya 1/72 bf109 e-3 , which is a beautifully precise hassle free build !
