fantastic aircraft to build .... japanese WW2 aircraft have this very brutish attractiveness to them I think ...... they look great when finished.. looking foward to see'ing yours once done

That's right, Lindsey.
Natural metal finish first, and then I used a cocktail stick to apply the masking fluid. After the top coat, just gently rub the masking fluid off with your finger.
The only problem I encountered was that I pre-shaded my panel lines too thick. This mean some black also showed through with the silver beneath my green - the touching up brush came out at this point.Comment

Alex do'nt feel alone with the panel lines showing thru ,did the same on my Zero thank goodness for touch up brushes!Comment

Okay, I'm on the home run with this build now. I just have a few small details such as undercarriage, cannons and radio mast left to do.

The flaps are just loosely placed on the model for the sake of weathering. Notice the headrest - this was actually made from wood in the real thing. If I did another of this type I'd try using some balsa instead.
