Eduard 1/48 Supermarine Spitfire Mk VIII RAAF

Along with my Hasegawa Bf 109F Marseille build, I recently purchased the Eduard Spitfire Mk VIII, and I decided to start it. As it is a profipack, it comes with all the extras. PE, masks and the usual Eduard package. This is the first Eduard Spitfire Mk VIII on this thread. I will be doing scheme F, Bobby Gibbes Spitfire, a 10 1/2 Ace

    Here are the first pics

    Cheers, John

I've wanted to build an Eduard Spitfire for yonks, so I'll watch this with interest!

I like how they show the Sutton harness fittings.

This camo pattern was all done freehand.

First stage. Marking out the camo with a pencil

Second stage. Lightly shading in the borders

Third Stage. All done! Now I have to touch up some parts, then the upper parts are done

Looks good so far John. Nice to see a Mark 8, not a very commonly modelled version.

Had a bit of a disaster. The exhausts got lost (pinged off my tweezers and into oblivion) Oh well, just had to go and order the Brassin ones. This means this will be stalled for a couple of days

                      Cheers, John

After a final desperate push to get this done, this is now finished. Look in the completed aircraft section for it.
