Airfix 1/72 Islander S.O.S .....CLOSED PLEASE SEE COMPLETED

Hi everyone I brought a bunch of kits of a mate a while ago about 15 kits if memory is correct. He informed me everything was present and correct. Yeah right! To date I've thrown out about six of them as there were major components missing like fuselages!

I fancied something something simple between group/sig builds and choose this Islander.

I already knew this was covered in horrible yellow enamel paint but I fancied a rescue attempt so I broke out the fairy power spray and with a lot of patience and careful cleaning I managed to get it back to the bare metal! lol

More progress to follow thanks for looking and any comments cheers John

Should make a nice enough model at the end of it all John. Good work on the clean up.

Heh john looks like it could be a nice little kit so I'll keep my tabs on this ( been thinking of getting the fairy powder spray as I've heard it's a good paint remover

Where do you get it from

      Regards

      Robert

I like the look of these, also there is something satisfying about rescuing a kit. Nice one
