Academy 1/72 T-6

I started this little 1/71 T-6 from academy

    Quite nice, detail

s OK for this scale, however the trimtab pushrod on the right elevator should be on the bottom not the top.

Aftermarket SAAF decals on the way to represent a plane at the field I work.

Looks good Theuns...... I do admire people who work in the small scales.......... As for the Elevator trim tab, can't you remove it and "scratch" something for the underside ?

I will just cut it off and glue to the bottom.

Strange they would get it wrong, it's not like T-6 is a rare plane.

On the full size T-6 we have only one elevator that can be swoped either side.

I will leave the canopy on this one closed, pity it can not be posed open as the detail is quite nice.

That's a pity Theuns, but with that canopy at least you should be able to see inside

Well, I still need to paint on the "inbetween" frame members on each canopy section, the one I am modling is a T6C and the kit is a t6G with less framing.

              It will look like this.

I decided to go with a different color for this one, I will do the SAAF one later

This one is in the colors of a display team I work for now "Cell C"

                More color to go on.

After sanding down I repainted it, not perfect but I can touch up the small flaws.

                      Then decals go on.

I am modling # 2 of the 5 ship "Flying Lions" team because it is the plane I was the backseater in last week when we did the BoB memorial flypast :-)

Very clearly yes , you can hear it especially when doing tight formo flying, the other guys are litelrally no more that 4-6' wingtip seperation.
