I had the same, aparently the wings go on when you put the centre section together so i just cut off some of the locating parts so it will just slot in.

And i got so fed up with mine i have abandond mine until i am in the mood for it

Nice start scott , its a big old beast isnt it? Its got its issues (fictional cockpit , shallow wheel wells , wrong shape rear canopy) but it makes into an impressively sized model and it looks like a beaufighter so its still a good old kit , i keep saying i might do another one but when i think of the work i did on the last one i change my mind!! If I recall correctly i fettled the locating slots for the outer wings and when glued used stretched sprue to create a raised panel line over the joint , cheers tony

I was thinking about trying to sand down the undersides of the wing hopefully without misshaping them, then applying filler, what do you think?

Yep i think it looks like buckets of filler and hours of sanding

looks a lot better than it was,I do think your done a good job,

can see you need a bit f work with the panel lines,

as there raised, could you use wire ,by resecribing the line so the wire sits in

and then, just sand it to a bit of a point ?

Nice idea Monica, that way the wire isn't higher than the panel line, like the way you think.
