Ok my next question is what colour scheme would you all like to see, the two box colours are desert colours or a black night fighter any other ideas most welcome.
These kits are wher you earn your modelling stripes Scott. Not the easiest but possibly the more rewarding for getting a good result from them.
You're doing great and best of luck with the rescribe.
I was thinking of possibly buying one of these for my BoB collection, so I'm interested to see this finished.
Oh, should you need them I've got lots of Revell roundels after airbrushing all the markings on my Mk 1 Spits. So if you're not already sorted I can send them on.
Not 100 % sure but I sure I saw the beaufighters were also deployed to the Far East against Japanese shipping along with beauforts with Aussie pilots etc
The colours I'm not sure of but think it would be east Mediterranean colours
The nightfighter versions I believe were Mk1f versions
When I did my mosquito nightfighter when I did my research the RAF used an anti glare black paint top coat so I tried to tame down the black by adding a touch of grey to the mix ( believe it was revel number 43 to tame the Matt black look, will try to get some pics on for ref for you
Replacing the likes, iam going to try using fine copper wire to do it, if it is too big I will scribe a line between the two raised panel lines and sit the wire in it hopefully to make everything match up.
