Hi Tony the colour is metal colour 77.724 Silver, and yes I've got the metal varnish so I will give it a try later.

Thanks Colin it's not as thin as Alclad but it flows lovely and it doesn't stink like Alclad, it will certainly give it a run for its money

Got this painted now, all done with the new Vallejo metal colours, apart from the air brake bays.im really liking this product, even with my poor painting skills I think they look very good. Now I'm going to try the new metal varnish from Vallejo.

That looks amazing, what a finish that is, the variation on the panels looks realistic, breaks up the monotone of a single silver. This is going to look fantastic with the decals on etc.

How did the Vallejo stuff behave with masking?

Looking great Ian those new vallejo metal paints look good I might just have to get some myself.

I've used alclad up till now but these look equally impressive and without the smell that's a plus.

One of my favourite parts of modelling is seeing all the decals on.

                              This looks great.
