    Hobbyboss. F14B Tomcat

    Hi Everyone.

Well I'm going to have a go at a WIP.

This won't be a very detailed WIP more to show how I progress with a kit.Any questions will be answered.

This will be my first aircraft for a couple of years and will be an OOB build.

So far I have built up the cockpit and fuselage.worked on the lower fuselage and joined the wing halves together.

I've almost completed the Hasegawa F-14A in 1/72, I'm interested to see how these two compare.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

                    Here's where I'm up to.

Nose weight added to cone and just forward of the cockpit.

Wings and upper fuselage joined together.

                    Exhaust parts joined together.

                        Thanks Ian.

I added more weight after the pics, because after a test it wasn't enough.

                          Here is where I am.

Majority of the kit built, with only a few smidgeon's of filler.

Parts like undercarriage and weapons will be painted separate and added when all painting is complete.

Next I will be painting cockpit.

The Hasegawa instructions say add 5 grams to the nose, does it not specify in yours how much to add?

                              Hi Rick.

No it does not specify.does not mention to add weight at all.

Not sure how much I added.

I test if it is enough by balancing the fuselage gently between my fingers at the centre of gravity and see how easily it tips forwards.

But if I was to guess how much weight I added I would say about 15 grammes
