    Andys Revell 1:32 Scale Mosquito

Hi guys, there hasn't been any recent build activity from me, so nows the time to start building again, with the reveal 1:32 scale Mosquito, a recent Christmas prezzie from my family.

Its a bit like buses, you wait ages for a big scale Mosquito build and 3 come along at once. At least while Jason and johns are the Tamiya, mine is the reveal so hopefully there should be a bit of variety.

Well heres the obligatory box shot.....

    ......and the contents

Now off to make a start, don't hold ya breath waiting for an update cos we all know how slow I am!!!!!

    Cheers Andrew

I built a 1:48 Revell Mosquito, quite a nice kit. I hope the 1:32 is from the same era, or newer. Should be good.

I built this one in the early seventies. Revell have changed the box and the decal sheet will be a lot better than the original issue. It might be old but it should still build into a nice model.

It looks like a nice kit, and I hope I can do it justice.

                    interesting history for DZ353 Andrew...

'DZ353 and DZ367 of 105 Sqn moved from Horsham St Faith to Marham on 29.

.42 (along with 139 Sqn). DZ353 flew its first mission on 23.10.42 and later served with 139 and 627 Sqn before it failed to return from a raid on a railway yard at Rennes, France on 8.6.44. Both crew members, Flt Lt Bill Steere and FO Gale were killed'.

Have you opened the glue yet??

Like Spitfires and Hurricanes, there can never be enough Mosquitoes.

not sure glue and hangovers go together, but at least it'll be quiet around the place...good luck.

Hi guys, I've been pottering with this one as and when time allows!!!!

Not showing too much of the interior build up, there's better Mossie kits with better detail being built. Cockpit done, and the fuselage together....

.....nice fit on the fuselage, don't think its gonna need any filling, just a light sanding.

                            Cheers, Andrew

Nice start Andrew. Very nice work on the pilots but ( this isn't your fault ) the pilots for a 1/32 scale look very poorly made.
