Looks great I've never used alclad but love the finish folks get with it.

That's quality so far Colin, I'm a big fan of alclad too but haven't tackled a full NMF yet, I'm very eager too and I have a couple of ideas for a couple of planes.

In regards to your "weathering problems" not that anyone would have guessed, I wonder if after laying down a primer if you give it a Matt black coat first then masked some patches and laid some gloss black down then sprayed the alclad administration normal would this give a impression of weathering or would it just look patchy?

            Might try it

Looks great , and big respect , alclad is hard to use at the best of times let alone doing a whole aircraft .

Well this little 1:72 has been a nice little experiment. I do fancy a 1:48 F104, with a proper polished finish. What am I saying, there's a 1:72 nmf B17 sitting behind me.

Phil, yes That would probably have worked. Great for access panels etc.

So, decals are done. These little critters took forever. Anyway, having finished them, I had to weather them slightly, just to make them a little bit worn out. This is a well used lightning which might be due a major service soon.
