Hi all, got a bit more done. Rough idea with the canopy done, you can see more than I thought!!!

Not sure I'll use the tanks yet, I've got conflicting sources saying they're either blue or bmf...I'll have to have a think on them.

And a bit of remedial work on the flaps - seems I got a bit over zealous when I took them out!!!

    Cheers, Neil

Right, a bit more done. I decided to add a bit of interest, and have the front wheel turning. I was a bit worried about doing it, but all went well and seems to have come out OK

Thinned down the pitot tube and added the last few bits and pieces, so now ready for paint.

      Cheers, Neil

Hi all. Finally got some paint onto this, though I'm not too happy with the result. I'd picked up some Tamiya rattle cans for this build before I got my airbrush, and although they seem to be a very good colour match for the decals, I've had to go quite heavy on the application to get good coverage. The upshot of this is that some of the detailing has got quite soft, the canopy framing is too heavy and I've a couple of lovely ridges along the demarcation lines.

Anyway, I shall press on and see how it works out. The good thing is that I haven't spent loads on it, and I've learnt to reserve rattle cans for my F1 builds!!!

          Cheers, Neil

Plenty of detail showing in the pictures so I wouldn't worry about that. Looking good Neil.

Looks superb so far Neil. Good to see a Sabre in something other than natural metal.
