Ah yes - the warts. I remember them well! Looking good, Joe - looking forward to seeing the finished job.

That's a great idea for the camo scheme. I'd never have thought of doing it that way. Looking forward to the blobs coming off.

Revell did several of the well known WW2 fighters in that series during the mid/late 1960s - Zero, Hurricane, Spitfire, Me109 et al. I still have a P 47 somewhere. Although they may not have been the best detailed,  they were good enough at the time, and went together well.

I remember reading somewhere that they were nearly all a bit undersize, working out at about 1/75

Well, that turned out rather well I think, quite happy with the result.

Mated the engine to the fuselage:

And once that dried, the engine cowl is fitted:

The landing gear is assembled (broke both legs off, they are fragile) and re-fixed them with super glue. Also the propeller and machine guns are fixed into place. The wheels don't fit into the pins provided, and if you fiddle with them too much you risk breaking the landing gear off. The gear struts are strong, but the pin that holds them in place is not.

And at the end of play today we have an assembled and painted Saetta, ready for gloss. I'll give those rough bits of paint a light rub down before the gloss varnish is sprayed on.

Well this one nearly passed me by. Great work on the painting. So, did you count how many bits of white tack you used ??

Definitely worth the wait to see the camo.

And so you should be happy with the result .

Serves you right Colin! A daft question always deserves a daft answer! 9_9 It's only idiots like me that count that sort of stuff - Joe's far too sensible.
