I have just seen this one, glad that you are enjoying the build. Its a good kit Steve, well engineered, but does have a few issues. The soft poor quality Airfix plastic shrinks a bit too much in this scale and can cause fit issues on the larger parts, particularly on the panels, I recommend doing a lot of dry fits. They need a lot of clean up too, as I expect you have found - Tamiya this is not.... That said with my original 1b I found it a very nice satisfying build and mine looks great on the fridge in my office....

A suggestion.... on aircraft of this scale paint masks really look much better than decals. Masketar do a set of roundels etc for the Tiffy, a really worthwhile investment.

thank's barry , I know what you mean , for the life of me I can't get the main fuel tank's to sit properly under the wing's ,as you don't see them , I'm thinking of leaving them off

You've certainly picked on a beast here, but it's all looking really good.

Just caught up again coming along nicely but just one thing I have got my undercarriage on and It is rather on the weak side so you might want to invest in some after market metal ones

thank's peter , have heard that , and I will look into it , airfix plastic is pretty soft , I did a dry fit of the fuselage to the wings , as I have heard of some very bad fit issue's on other builds , I did have to cut out an alignment lug , but everything else seem's to be going together alright , did you glue your two halves together first peter or did you follow the the instructions , half at a time .
