I got the primer on, gave it a sanding with 4000 MM then did the preshading aswell as added some dark areas to "modulate" the paint and give it a slight faded patchy look, paint does not fade in a nice uniform way ,especially where the painter overlapped it with the spraygun.

In direct sunlight the effect is more clear than in this pic

I am totally cured from eve using tamiya aerosol sprays ever again. This is the second time if has eaten the humbrol enamels. I have binned the can so I cant be tempted to ever use it again.
I hope I can resque this by sanding and re-painting....

I think Tamiya spray cans are cellulose or something as hot. I know as I've suffered the same problem as well. Bloody annoying.

I will have to reprime the whole thing otherwise the blue will not cover well

My second attempt, this time more weathered and faded. For the clearcoat I will use X22.

I am lucky with the decals ,being Tamiya they are sometimes difficult to set. I was rather worried about the large no step ones ontop of the radiators but the microsol seem to have eliminated any silvering. I put a matt clear ontop and a satin on bottom of plane to represent the way it fades differently
