    Revell 1/32 HE 162

Started this Revell 1/32 He 162 VolksJager.
The engine is nicely detailed, I played abot with alclad pale burnt iron and burnt iron to give the different colors to the engine's "hot section"
Not sure if it will even be visable after engine is colsed up.

Now that the engine is all joined up, I need to paint it and then do all the wiring and fuel pipes ect.

I always find it quite satisfying, making metal out of plastic.

I had some PE bits and added Tamiya tape with "shade" watercolors for seatbelts, seatpan was scuffed with hairspray method.

The BMW was dressed up with some more fuel lines and electrical looms.

That seat pan was designed to take the parachute pack that they sat on. Still pretty hard to sit on for long time...

Ta, it has taken a bit if a back seat while I try to complete my Mirage 3 RC for test flight this or next weekend.
I got most of the cockoit completed for the 162, just need to join up the fuselage, when this is dome 70% of the work is done, painting should go quite fast on this one.

All looks great. I'm not sure about sitting with my legs wide open and a bloody great nose wheel in between them. It's almost like the poor pilot was an after thought.
