    Revell 1/32 P51 5NA MUSTANG

Well it's been almost a year since I last had a kit on the bench. I've not built a Mustang before and my purse won't stretch to a Tamiya kit so I thought I would give the Revell one a go. It's a nice kit with some good detail. Cockpit a dry fit at the moment is almost complete just need some harnesses and some weathering to finish off. Wheel wells are also nicely detailed. Interesting to see how the fuselage goes together. Choice of two paint schemes not sure which one I will do yet.

Looking good, will be intersting to see how his builds up, considering its three times cheaper than the tammy one.

Small amount of progress placard decals attached and cockpit walls weathered. Still not sure about the harnesses wether to buy or fashion out of foil as I have some PE buckles in the spares box.

Nice detail well highlighted. I like the P51, but not that much I would buy a Tamiya. However, this revel, looks rather fine.

Thanks guys. I opted for the home made harnesses, made from textured foil and a few spare buckles. Shoulder ones complete, I had to use a magnifying glass to paint the buckles eyes are not so good! These have taken me all afternoon to complete what with painting. Next the waist belts.
