    Hi Vaughn
I'll sit in for this. I have learned a few things already :thumb2: Off to a great start. Lovely neat work. That is a nice metallic finish. Do you thin the Vallejo Metal Color for the airbrush? If so what with?
Sorry to hear you have health issues - wishing you well.
    Jim

I remember the two float version you did, yes I can remember that far back.
Side by side, they will make a great pair. Oh that sounds just a bit wrong.

I'll pull up a pew and watch this mate, looks an interesting bird. I really like the metal finish, I've not had much luck spraying the Vallejo metal colour, except for the bronze and brass, so any tips would be appreciated.

        cheers
        Ross

Thanks Guys. Jim no need to thin the metal color it's like water. Important to under coat with a gloss black primmer to get the full effect of the depth and shine. I've also invested in some Vallejo gloss metal varnish to protect the finish this has been formulated not to dull the metal.

Colin they sure will. Next step will be to detail the internal frame work, cockpit and continue with the radial engine.

I will have to look into the Vallejo metallic paint. Very nice finish.

Very deluxe kit and some great solutions to make it a knock out. Love the 30's Luftwaffe.

Stunning work I will follow on if I may:thumb2:
Jim - I have been using Vallejo metal paints for a while and find the Model Air are better than the Model Color. Certainly worth a try mate.

Thanks guys comments appreciated. Small bit of progress, the rotary engine and prop are complete. I've added some medication bubble pack foil to simulate the air intake grills as there was no detail. The exhaust outlet has also been extended with plastic card which makes it more realistic. Next step is to continue with the cockpit and inner frame work.

A very busy looking engine Vaughan, and well constructed and painted.

                        Very nice Vaughan.

Just one question. How do you people keep your cutting mats so clean and new looking? I could grow spuds on mine!

I'm a huge fan of a good looking radial engine. This is gorgeous.

That engine looks fantastic...think I’ll be investing in some Vallejo metal paints too!
