Revell 1\32 spitfire Mk lla with Eduard pe

This is my third go but this time I am armed with my airbrush plus my favourite Eduard pe cockpit set.
Shouldn't present me with any problems as I have done a couple beforehand.
First up is the IP panel witch has already been filed flat for the stick on IP.

That's a busy PE sheet Peter. Looking forward to seeing your results with the airbrush on this build

Hi Joe
I will follow this with interest and I'm sure to pick up a tip or two to help with my slightly smaller Eduard kit.

All the PE had been done both on the main cockpit and the side's and then and Matt clear coat and then some weathering.
And the cockpit tub is complete.

Hi Peter
Good progress. Interesting to see the extra level of detail there is in 1/32 compared to 1/48. I know this is enhanced with the Eduard PE but I think that slight increase in scale really pays dividends. Mind you it could also show up faults easier - not that I can see any in your build :smiling5:

Just finished off the pe on the cockpit sides on the two halves and have them together with surprising good fit with no filling needed.

Hi Peter
Glad the two fuselage halves went together nicely. Filling and sanding and then reinstating panel lines and rivets is not fun :crying:

The last two attempts were using rattle cans and brushes and at the time I didn't know much about weathering.

Nice build sofar.I did thos kit not to long ago. Appart form some fit issues it was a nice kit.
Just look out for the rear part of the glazing behind the Malcom hood, it was way to narrow on my kit, the wingroot als was not to good. The wingtips also need some carefull fitting, maybe gluing to the wings before joining top and bottom will solve this
The decals went down nicely though :-)

Allot has been said that the ailerons being fa bric is incorrect for this plane however I have read that for a 1940 to early 41 plane they can be correct as replacement metal ailerons only started getting to Sqn's by mid 41 IIRC.

Here is the one I built
