I got 1/2 5te rivet detail on the fuse today. I also scribed the pannel lines.
The rivets are way to big, even by airfix standards but if ant smaller they will not be visible under the paint.
Flush rivets up the the cockpit and domehead behind that.

I started paintig it, primed all ready for colour the frame weighed 2995gr, I am interested to se how much weight the paint puts on, I am truing to paint light.

I am rather pleased with the scribing and the rivets, just enough to look OK without going overboard.

It will now be tricky to get a soft edge to the camo....

Ta

I started to mark out and cut my own masks for painting, a real PITA byt the results when painted on look good.

I also added the gunsmoke stains out of the casing ports for the .30 MG and 20mm Cannons

Thanx Jim

I have played with some weathering a bit. since it was a desert operated plane the paint would have take quite a hammering.

Ta Ian, I hope to get the top color on today and start wrapping it up paintwize.
I have been offered a very substantial amount for the plane and it is rather tempting to complete it and sell it than do another for me......but damn it is allot of work to get it to where it is now . what to do, what to do.....
