Hi John, something about wingy things that gets me frustrated at times are the interior stuff that don't get seen after closing up. The only remedy is to know that it's done. The turbofans look good with that little highlight.

    Cheers,
    Richard

PE shouldn't be a problem for you John but take good precaution when attaching them to clear parts. I would choose white glue most of the time but I hear that cyno acrelate doesn't craze clear parts if they have been soaked in Future. I would test it first if I were you. Perhaps the PE guys can advise.

          Cheers,
          Richard

I use superglue. Applied very sparingly and put into place very carefully.
            So far, no disasters.

Thanks for the tips guys. I was planning to use Testors Clear Parts cement. But I will do some trials.I have began to remind myself why I hate PE, but I made a start anyway. Got a few bits to stick in approximately the right places.

              First the cockpit.

For some reason the kit does not supply a roof for the undercarriage bay in the fuselage so the PE set came to the rescue.

              Am I having fun yet?

Hi John, I'm not a PE guy either unless it's necessary. So far looking good just watch out for the overhang of the PE on both sides of the side instrument consoles that might fowl up fit to the fuselage. Can't remember how tight the fitting of the cockpit tub was but just be cautious.

The undercarriage bay roof might be part of the cockpit floor I think. Wow...I don't remember my plastic being that colour.

                  Cheers,
                  Richard

Thanks chaps. Not yet in the bin but keeping the bin handy John.

Spent a few happy hours messing about with the office furniture. I think it is about done now.

When I screw up the canopy and make it all foggy this will look fine.
I have also joined the fuselage halves together. Quite a decent fit except for my errors. Its interesting to learn how important a micro milimeter can be when trying to get an invisible seam. Oh well first attempt it can only get better.

                          Hi John
They say "A change is as good as a rest" - certainly true here as you're enjoying this new venture. You're also making a great job of it. The seat/cockpit looks superb. Enjoying your progress.

Thanks guys. This is a real challenge but so far, more fun than I expected.

Got the fuselage stuck together and some more etch stuck on.

The filler at the front is due to my screw up.

Hi John B, the interior decorating of the office looks real good. Whats a plane build without filler...don't sweat it John, once the glue cures there is bound to be hairline gaps to fill and sand. It's a good thing you can see because of the contrast of the filler against the dark plastic. Glad you're having fun.

                                Cheers,
                                Richard
