Eduard Limited Edition 1/48 F-16A Block NSAWC Aggressor

First build back after a long and busy year.
I am tackling the Eduard 1/48 Top Falcons Limited Edition kit. I actually got this kit off this forum off the trade section, as this kit is almost impossible to get now and is very scarce
I have an Aires wheel bay and a whole load of missiles-AMRAAMs and Mavericks coming in terms of Brassin extras.
The kit itself has a Brassin Ejector seat with harness, PE afterburner rings with the Brassin fan blades and nozzle and Wheels.
This is rounded off by two large frets of PE
The kit is the Kinetic kit which isn't too bad and shapes up to be pretty good

I managed to start on it and get the cockpit together and do the resin undercarriage. Lots of wiring, PE, resin and careful painting.
The ejector seat will go on later in one of the last steps of the build.
Sorry about the very white light-the camera does not cope well and makes things look too stark, especially the weathering

            here is the latest update.
the halves are together and the cockpit and wheel bay installed.
The resin wheel bay was a drop fit and a breeze to install. Just a little sanding
Some filling was needed for the centre section.
There was a lot of PE parts added in the cockpit walls.
half of the nose weight has been installed

Nice choice. I love these aggressor schemes, but still haven't got around to building one.

Thanks. The blue camo really did catch my eye

                    Hi John
That certainly looks an excellent kit. Great extra details. It may be a challenge to build but will be stunning when completed. Progress so far is a top job. I look forward to the rest.
                    Jim

                      latest update
chin intake is dry fitted. It look like some filler will be needed, but that is because of the AM resin wheel bay.
Nevertheless, fit with the AM resin is surprising me how good it is.
It looks like I'll have to repaint the HUD as some paint has worn off with my handling.
I used Mr surfacer and a little Tamiya putty for the front as the fit of all the panels left annoying ridges and gaps. Thankfully thats all smooth now ready for the nosecone
Now its really starting to look like a viper
                      Cheers, John

Those ejector marks in the cockpit are going to be covered by the ejection seat and its rails btw, so dont worry about that
                        Cheers

                            Lots of progress now.
A bit of sanding tomorrow and the primer is going to go down.
I am also going to assemble the AMRAAMs and the Mavericks
The resin exhausts also have been painted and is nearly ready to be installed.
The PE Afterburner rings were a fantastic detail
Things are looking pretty messy right now...Primer needs to go down and a bit of sanding needs to be done.
                            Cheers, John

Ok, things got primed with Mr Surfacer, filled and sanded and neatened up and then I pushed on ahead with the Aggressor camo
So far its looking pretty good. I think Ill leave it here for today, but there is still the rear end of the aircraft to complete in terms of camo and the undersides
Sorry about the shocking quality photos and glare- its my iphone's camera and Im too lazy to get out my better camera
                              Cheers, John
