Hi guys. My grandson PJ and me will be starting our builds of this kit today. Just a quick question before we start. Revell provide clear pieces for the cockpit walls as there are some transparent areas on the original. What is not clear from the instructions is which areas are supposed to be clear. Can anyone help please?

Sorry, I can't help with the question Dave, but great to read the 'Dynamic Duo' are up and building again!
Pity Steve (Stona) seems to have left us......Comment

All the reviews I've read say that this kit is a big time tail sitter. With that in mind, we're putting bits of weight wherever we can find a place for it - including the radio:

and behind the props:

We only meet up on Mondays so that's it for now.Comment

Still looking Pete. Some of the images you sent lead to various builds/reviews etc but so far none showing what I need. I'm not absolutely desperate as it looks like the sidewalls are quite deep in the fusealage and difficult to see. If I can't see it clearly enough to tell the difference in colour, then no-one else can!Comment

One of the guys doing a build on there asked the same question as me. Unless he found something and didn't post it, his last conclusion was that he was going to 'wing it'. I suppose it might be worthwhile contacting Revell direct. They included the clear part, so I assume someone there knows why!Comment

Hi Dave, I made the Tamiya one some years ago, the clear parts in the kit were for, I believe the direction finding antennae set just behind the cockpit. This is star shape set in the fuselage with clear round cover, about level with wing leading edge. Another piece is right at the rear of fuselage
with two antennae sticking out. Hope it helps, if there were any clear parts in the body you would expect there to holes for them to fit in. JohnComment
