    Still work to do.

This is a model started some time ago which I really enjoyed working on, but it had a tremendous amount of parts including resin seats, wheels and exhaust nozzles, and coloured photo-etched parts which I hate using, always getting super glue where it shouldn`t be. The model was launched by Eduard as a bicentennial phantom which came with a massive amount of decals made by Furball depicting several planes, I think there`s over a hundred stencils alone which still have to go on, well some of them. The size is 1/48 and all parts fitted well with no filler. The weathering still has to be finished and the ordnance fitted, which is built but has to be painted. Now here`s an embarrassing confession, I actually managed to get one of the national insignia on upside down on the fuselage, senior moment, didn`t notice it for a while but by that time everything was nicely dry and hard, my reaction made the dog disappear and the wife to turn the telly up. Just had to bite the bullet and rub all the area down and re-paint, then source another decal and carefully place it. I was satisfied with the outcome but after a bit of weathering I put the model to one side.

You can't beat a good Phantom, and that's looking very good Robert
