Dave Ward's 1/48 Revell Beaufighter TF.X 2018 Tooling.
Just about ready to start the weathering - the cockpit glazing has been a bit tricky to fit, I think the instrument panel is sitting a bit high - I've fettled it a bit, and now I need to use a little filler to fill in the small gaps........
For weathering, I'm going to use the airbrush, streaks with the airflow, and behind the exhausts. I think it'll be a gradual procedure. I realise I should have left the canopies off until the weathering was just about finished!! Oh well masking fluid out again!
Dave
I'm afraid that the Beaufighter had a bad landing accident...... OK, I dropped it, and broke off all the port rockets and snapped the undercarriage legs on one side.
I think it's salvageable ( some aluminium tube will be necessary ), but I'll put it aside, as I'm not in the mood for a tricky repair job.
I will return to it.................just not at the moment.
Dave
Hi Dave
What a shame but I doubt there is a modeller on here who hasn't dropped a model at some stage. Sometime damage is minimal but, like in this case, damage is bad. I'm sure you will sort it sometime in the future.
Jim
Shame about that dave but we’ve all done it at some point so youre not alone. Best thing is to leave ot a few days and come back to it with a fresh outlook , its nothing that cant be repaired , cheers tony
