And here it is the engine 'fitted' inside it's cowling. I am actually well impressed with this 'new' technique for me. I think the gloss black primer has given it a depth that allows the metal colour to really show up better. I'll certainly be trying it out on other builds in the future.
First coat of Tamiya XF-2 has been laid down. Will re-cover tomorrow with Tamiya X-2 gloss to finish off the white. Then it's onto masking and panting the black strips.
First invasion stripes done. Took a bit of masking but got there in the end. Just a slight bleed under the tape in one or two places. But all in all i think it looks ok.
