Thanks for the offer Tim. I'm assuming from the Airfix instructions that the airframe would be RLM65 undersides with the splinter camo in RLM72/73 - is that in line with your book?

although surely by this time in the war they would have had sheepskin?
That's just what I needed, thanks Neil. I'd found this online (International Museum of WW2) but didn't know if it was appropriate for this aircraft.

Seems to be the same, but a bit less faded. What about the gunner in the back though - he has an open canopy and seems to be wearing a lot more padding than the other two - an electrcally heated suit perhaps?
I found this image by Alamy; would this be OK?

      Hi Peter
A most unusual looking plane. I'll follow your build with interest. Certainly a geriatric kit which I'm sure you'll make the most of.

Jim, I've read several times that the UV in sunlight will bleach yellowed decals, but haven't tried it before.
        Thanks for your kind comment.

          Hi Jim.
I did it many years ago with a set of yellowed decals from an old kit.
I taped the decal sheet to a window and a few days later they were fine.

Thanks Ralph. Just had a look and they seem better already. Expecting them to be fragile though so I'll give them a coat of Microscale Liquid Decal Film before I use tham.

Annoying that the sprue gates are on top of the helmets, they'll need a touch up after they're removed.
Also gave the engine a black background, and an oily wash:

                        Hi Peter
I’ve looked up the colours for you, and both the A type and B type airframes were finished with classic RLM 70/71 splinter over RLM 65 undersides. There is one airframe illustration with an over all RLM 63 scheme, but all the others are the classic scheme.
If you need anything else, just shout :thumb2:

Also, prop and spinner were RLM 70 and interior, wheel wells, and undercarriage legs were RLM 02

When I bought this kit, several parts had been removed from the sprues. Unfortunately some of them seem to have been broken off, rather than cut off, among them the two larger clear parts.Click image for larger version

The second one isn't too bad, it's on the canopy frame and only just affects the part that needs to be clear. The first photo though shows a more serious problem in that the fracture goes quite a way into the clear part. I'm wondering whether a drop of Klear will be enough, or maybe some Clearfix or even TET?

                                Hi Peter
Loads to be honest, there are about thirty pages of diagrams and photos of the plane and its equipment...I don’t have a scanner though.
The book is Valiant publishing Airframe detailing No1 if you’re interested...
