The Foster Wikner Wicko was a pre war light aeroplane of exceptional quality for its time, the prototype was built by craftsmen at Lustys Furniture factory from grade A aircraft quality spruce and plywood, powered with a Gipsy Major inline air cooled engine.
My scratch built model very much follows the construction of the original, lets clear the bench and make a start.

Mark out the tail surfaces.

My own reference painting of the Wicko monoplane.

Thanks to Stephen Wilkinson for gifting the vintage plan used as a basis for construction.

The Wicko when under my care at Baginton in 1962,a tiny portion of ply from the real aeroplane has been incorporated into the structure.
