It just goes to show that, even with the 'net as a research resource, it can be difficult to confirm/refute things!
Thanks for all the input on the T-45C - I'm glad to say that the Italeri model is the T-45A, so, it has 'NAVY' on both sides! :thumb2:

I think in this particular case it’s because you can’t see both sides of the plane at the same time in photos, so it’s very difficult to notice this detail unless you do careful, rather than casual research.

I masked up fr the red nose, tail & wing tips. I brush painted with Vallejo red primer. I intended to use fluorescent red, but trials on the test airfame didn't look right. I eventually settled on a Vallejo Game Air Colour - 'bloody red'Click image for larger version

Well, no lifting of paint - only a slight bleed on some panel lines - so I can count that a success. Next I'll just touch up those bleed areas, then give an overall gloss varnish to seal things in. No weathering - one thing, looking at all those pictures of Goshawks is that they are all kept in very good condition..............

I didn't enjoy the Italeri Hawks I've made, but your Goshawk is looking really good Dave. Nice paint work.

Dave, I didn't like the construction and found the plastic rather brittle and difficult to work with. Otherwise nice kit, not unlike your Goshawk
