Airfix 1\24 Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat "Paper Doll"

Time for a proper look into this kit as I have taken my time to unbag everything and take some better pictures and some close up detail and with my choice of version.Click image for larger version

I have just finished off page one and judging by how easy and how detailed it looks I am going to enjoy this kit plus I have added some weathering and a bit of wear.Click image for larger version

I had almost forgotten about that one and as I had already done one I am in no hurry to finish it.

Seat and seatbelts added over the last couple of days and a small panel over the rudder pedals and weathered to suit so far no problems even the seatbelts came out better than expected.Click image for larger version

Nice work Peter. The big Airfix Hellcat looks a great kit with plenty of detail.
                    Looking forward to the progress.
                    Cheers

I have just managed to squeeze the cockpit into one side.
And added more behind the cockpit.Click image for larger version

Stunning! One suggestion I think the lap belts could do with a bolt head where they attach to the seat.

Thanks for the suggestion I have just done a test fit of the two sides together but that area won't be seen.
