Started the decalling tonight , after about two hours heres where im at . There are a lot of stencils and warning markings , ive tried to do it as methodically as possible by starting at the front and working my way back , ringing the decal numbers as i apply them . Im only about half way through and theres lots more left on the sheet ! Click image for larger version

Well another two hours and another s**tload of tiny and not do tiny decals now on .I was a bit cautious about handling the huge one piece tail decals but I neednt have worried as they went on with no trouble at all- modern Revell decals are always excellent . This has now had a few coats of clear satin and is ready for the canopy and undercarriage to get sorted . I already painted up and dark washed the undercarriage and it came out great , good old monogram detail , just needing the moulded on brake lines picking out in black . I also masked up the pitot tube , which has a red and white spiral running down it . This was masked up with micro masking tape and sprayed . The first attempt was a mess , bleeding under the tape so it was cleaned up and tried again this time with a cut piece of Tamiya tape and it came out lovely , like a barbers pole !
