It's been a long time since I built an aircraft, but looking at this and your 1:24 hurricane build, they are outstanding, just wish sometimes I didn't have to many builds planned.
It's a pleasure to follow your builds Ian.

Wings dry and not a bad fit at all, not much filling needed.

Fantastic work Ian , ive always fancied one of these but been put off by reports of a terrible fit , yours just goes to show that with a bit of care and a good dollop of modelling skills its no problem and an excellent result can be obtained . Off to ebay to look for a spitfire then :rolling::worried:

Brilliant - you've avoided the dreaded droopy wings. This model does have a bit of a bad reputation, but as you've proved, it's really not that bad.

Must add that I like your painting holders.

I got them from the local B&M store. Not sure if you have them Ian.

Got the main colours on, going to let it dry now for 24 hours. Then I’ll do the yellow parts of the wings and exhausts.
