    Revell B-17F Memphis Belle 1:48

Well this is my first build and its going great and im having great fun doing it. Im 5 days into it now and have had a few disasters all involving clear plastic, masking, enamel paint and scratches as well as poor fitting parts - here it is so far!

Looking fine so far Mike. This kit is known for the poor fitting parts so don't worry it's not you. It's an old kit from Revell and their 1/48 B-17G kit was newer and better in all respects.

Keep up the good work and hope to see a few more pics of it

Good stuff Mike. I built one of these a few :music_whistling: years ago. I remember having a bit of fun with the fit. It makes an impressive and big model.

        Cheers

That's looking very good Mike. I like seeing a kit come together, and there's always something new to learn as I did using sellotape to hold a fuselage together - what a sticky mess that left!

Havent really posted in the last few days as the plane is going through an ugly stage, but its coming together bit by bit. Brush painting the wings is tough going. Heres the latest anyway. 1 more coat to go on the belly and a good bit of tydying before the olive drab

im learning as im going along and hope this is a model i'll do again in a few years - hopefully with an airbrush! Enjoying seeing it come together though. Going slower and allowing drying time for everything - wish I did that at the very beginning!
