I realise, looking at the pictures, I haven't got the Sea Blue deep enough - it should be just below the engine prop shaft. I'll have to fire up the compressor tomorrow, and fix that.................

I think the exact lines varied a lot on the real plane, so unless you think it looks wrong, I’d say you can just leave it as it is.

        Jakko,
yes, I've seen pictures , where the Sea Blue connected up with the wing surfaces. I'll wait until tomorrow & see what it looks like in daylight, before carrying on

How are you thinning the hataka paints dave ? I just wondered as ive been using them a fair bit recently and found them very nice . I thin them with vallejo thinners if they need it , most times the red line will spray straight out of the bottle . I have noticed though if thinned they will need at least two thin coats as they can be a bit transparent sometimes , although ive been spraying the blue line ( supposedly optimised for brushing) thinned slightly and they seem to have good colour density .

            Hi Dave
Well whatever the history of this you seem to have it almost done and it's looking good.

              Tony,
I'm using straight tapwater - they don't need a lot of thinning, but they seem a lot more sensitive to use than say, AK or MiG. One silly thing I notice is that it's too easy to overtighten the cap on the bottle & damage the thread!

I modified the Sea Blue upper surfaces, then gave an all over spray of gloss varnish. Then Decal time!

Still a fair few stencils to add - I lost two decals when they shrivelled up when they came off the backing - the others are OK, so it may be the printing that was in error - they aren't obvious by their being missing!
