It is nice to see these ancient kits actually built rather than just gathering dust.

Wow 1965 I can remember my mate got it as his birthday present (we were 10)and being so envious he built it and if I rember within weeks it was suspended from his mums washing line and shot at with a gat gun I cant think why but I hardly missed when it was my turn to take a shot, the things we did back then never considered it was a bit iffy saying that though I never saw any one eyed badly mamed kids going about. well, sorry to say but this is filed under 'bin'.......not often i give up on something, i dont like to admit defeat

Airfix need to sell off the tooling as scrap or use it as a boat anchor!

off to the stash for something else!

TBF it did look abit of a sanding job. I'll remember to give that one a wide berth. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers John.

I never even knew this was an Airfix production - my memory faded with that wonderful Grumman Goose!

Scary thing is I have a few old 1/24 kits from Airfix in the stash. Might dive into one of them one day.

Oh well. Commiserations I guess. Sometimes it's just not worth the continued efort, true

Still, we can hope Airfix will do an update replacement job, like they did on the Gladiator, Battle and others

But then, 'other Dinah's are available', as they say

Is this definitely a case of 'Dinah, Dinah, we've showed you the door ... '? (Sorry!)
