    Airfix 1/48 Supermarine Walrus Mk1

This one's been calling me for some time so time to make a start.
So far it's been concentrating on the cockpit no problems encountered. Click image for larger version

More work done on the interior not much in the way of work for the sides and top and I have got the first coat of aluminium paint on ready to put everything together. Click image for larger version

Coming on nicely Peter. Can't be small at that scale.

              Keep up the good work.

I have the fuselage sewn up but it needs a bit of tape to keep it together and I have the undercarriage and wheels attached and the start of the engine. Click image for larger version

Oh man...all that interior covered up. I felt the same fitting the fuselage together on my 1/72 scale Matchbox kit after scratching the whole interior. :confounded:

Peter, I wonder if Airfix has the engine facing off one or two degrees forward like the real aircraft to counter the torque from the propeller? I thought Matchbox had screwed the molding until my reference showed it to be correct.

                    Cheers,
                    Richard

I have just fitted the engine pod and look from top down it is off centre by a few degrees.

I am afraid that my threads aren't the best because if the kit doesn't give me any problems I tend to wizz through the construction.
But here is the latest it's almost finished I am just awaiting a masking set so I can do the windows. Click image for larger version
