Here's an itch I've needed to scratch for a while. I picked it up very cheaply off the auction site and added a couple of AM bits to the box. It's another aircraft I like the look of so snapped it up when it was for sale. I'm starting to enjoy the larger scales and still have a 1/32 Heinkel He111 sat in the stash and an F4 Phantom, the only problem at the moment is display space. Anyway here's the sprue shots and it will be landing on the desk in the next few weeks.

I see these fairly cheap in Hobbycraft a lot, even more when they do their Black Friday deals but I keep putting off buying one. I’ll watch how you get on and then decide. On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.Comment

Made a start on this one and there’s not really much to it. I’m putting some extras into the cockpit which is quite basic. The two pieces sticking up on the front in the pic will be removed as there’s some etch bits to go there. The pilot is a very strange looking fellow but I’m not replacing him. He is currently blocked in and has a wash on. I have also been building some sub assemblies while I wait for paint from John. The wings are designed to hinge so they have been partially built and are also now waiting for paint. I have also found some rod to put in the gun ports I can drill out, they look a bit strange without anything in.

Good start on this one Mick. It will be quite an imposing beast when done, just like the real thing.Comment
