Well I was hoping to have this done this week but had a major setback, gave it a coat of vallejo polyurethane matt varnish and let it dry,the next day I thought hmm that could do with another coat! I put on another coat and it crazed and bubbled up,10 minutes later it all pulled off like a layer off latex! I then spent an hour with a wet toothbrush scrubbing it all off back to the gloss, that varnish will be going in the bin and am waiting for some acrylic to arrive. Could have been worse because usually I don't bother sealing over decals with a gloss coat but thankfully this time I did!

The decal masking and painting worked very well. As others said a little touch up on the white and jobs a good'un.
I have heard others say they have problems with Vallejo varnish but at least it just took time and annoyance to get back on track.
