HUD now fitted and the gun camera installed . The windscreen has been masked and glued on and the rear canopy section has been temporarily stuck on while the build continues. Ive started cleaning up the undercarriage parts which need a couple of sink marks sorting. Ps. Dont know why the photos keep uploading 90 degrees out !

The dotting pen was off ebay , theyre for applying dots of nail varnish ( or in our case paint or embossing) Just search ‘Dotting pen’ , theres loads , i got a set of 5 various sizes double ended ones so you get 10 different sized balls ( ooh er !!) for less than £3. Theyre so much more accurate at placing a tiny round dot of paint than trying to use a brush , i use mine most often for cockpits and instruments .
Sent off for those dotting pens thank you Tony.

As for the photo I've gone back to editing down to 1.5 mp

Tony, first of all, your Sukhoi is looking really good and you have taken this old kit and turned it into a masterpiece with your finery. Love the pit Sir and glad the seat survived!!!

Next, if you keep on crushing parts under the feet, you are going to have to change your name on here. What was once Yak Face, will now have to become Big Foot......

Lastly, It's after New Years and don't you think it's time to get up off the floor. After all, you still can't be drunk!!!...Or??......Then, maybe the pics will be straight and normal.........Just saying..............

          Prost

I tried that mark but it still seemed to keep turning them , maybe its something to do with resizing them on the iphone before posting ?

Got the inner wing sections fixed on and the nose ring after fitting the small clear part on the intake shock cone . The resin flare dispensers have also been cut off their stubs and fitted . While I was cleaning up the outer wing sections I noticed that the nav lights are just moulded solid , which would be ok if they were coloured light covers but the actual ones are a clear light with a coloured bulb . The spares box provided a bit of old clear sprue of the right thickness which was sanded to a half round shape . The lights were then cut out of the wing and pieces of the clear sprue were cut to size. I drilled a small hole in the back of the clear bits and using a pin coloured them red and green , they were then superglued in the wingtips. Once these have set i can sand them to shape and polish them back to clear . Ive now sorted the lights . I started by sanding them to shape with a 240 grit stick and plenty of water . Once I’d got the shape right it was a case of out with the nail buffers and shine it up through various steps . They're now blended in and clear so just need masking up ready for painting. Been off the forum for a while Tony, just caught up with this great build. Love what your doing to this , but getting a little worried about the make up and nail varnish. You know those colours don't match your eyes.

                            Hi Tony
Those wing lights were a lot of work but by 'eck they do look good.

Little bit more progress on the sukhoi today . The 4 weapons pylons on the inner wing sections have had the front part cut/ sanded to the right angle and glued on. The long flat pylon under the belly for the KKR reconnaissance pod has also been fitted . I’m fitting a typical mission load out - two fuel tanks on the outer pylons , two UB 32 rocket pods on the inner pylons and the KKR pod under the fuselage, the middle two wing pylons being left empty.Click image for larger version
