Am sorry for crashing the party late. :smiling6:
Very realistically weathered interior and engines Russell. Checked out all the pictures and enlarged them just to view the detailing. Awe struck and speechless. Good its 1/48 with room for detailing, wonder what it would have been in 1/24?...fly I suppose. :smiling2:

      Cheers,
      Richard

        Very, very nice Russell.

Very kind words, much appreciated as always chaps! Progress has been a.l bit slow but i’ve got the Grey over Sky scheme down and painted the roundels on the wings. Not sure i can paint the fuselage markings though, my cutter doesn’t make small enough circles for the red interior.Click image for larger version

Many have asked why my Mosquito roundels on the wing weren't the usual red on blue. Yours is similar to what I have with the white in between the two colors. Not seen it except on post war aircraft. Is there an explanation for it?

            Cheers,
            Richard

              Hi Russell
Looking really good. The detail is superb, could easily pass for 1/32 or even 1/24.

I’m not sure either Richard. I had understood this scheme wasn’t used on upper surfaces but I wonder if it is in this case because there are no under wing markings (space covered by rocket mountings) and the dark upper surface colour used over dark sea operations meant having white in the roundel made it more visible. Just guessing though.

Fantastic work! Love the engine detail especially and the marbelling on the underside. Going to look great when it's complete
