Got the windscreen sorted . Using a piece of clear acetate from some packaging ( Aries ejector seat I think) ,I cut a strip off and warmed it over a candle . I measured the width of the fuselage (14mm) and luckily the top profile is a perfect semi circle ,so after warming it over a candle the strip was bent to the correct radius over a conveniently shaped superglue bottle. After cutting and shaping this was attached and the joint touched up.
Even though its a strutted parasol wing the Lublin still has a little bit of wire bracing in a couple of places , namely between the main struts and from the tailplanes to the fin and lower fuselage. I decided to drill the fin and tailplanes and thread the diamond shape all in one piece starting at the lower fuselage. The main struts were drilled and the wire glued in now as I thought it would be easier than after they were fitted.
next is the tricky part of attaching the wing , second pair of hands needed!Comment

Very nice work. The windscreen has come out particularly well, and the crew certainly bring it to life. Good luck with the wing…….Comment

Wing is now fitted , bit of a struggle but i got there in the end. The two small struts were added after tensioning the bracing wire , then it was time to think about the undercarriage. The triangular legs are attached by two small lugs to the fuselage and then a shock absorbing strut going up to the main wing strut. Looks flimsy but once its all glued its quite sturdy . The shock absorbing strut should have a flexible leather gaiter over the piston ( similar to those on Junkers ju88s ) but the kit just has a plain rod . To simulate this I wound some fuse wire (15 amp) round a bit of brass rod then slid it off and cut it to size . Once coated with canopy glue and painted it looks fine .
Ive added wingtip nav lights from shaped rod , these will be painted up tomorrow.Comment

Dang Tony,
So sorry that I just saw this build of yours. I did a good read through and.......WOW!!! The guys have already used all the good words and comments on the build. It is amazing all the details and scratchy you've put into this tiny loopin' wing thingy. Figs and rigging are great as is the whole build Sir!!! I hope you and yours had a Happy New Year and keep up the good work...
Prost
