Somehow these two made to undercoat even after dropping one they would seriously try the patience of a saint but on the plus side the side windows fit nicely and the masks I got from Poland are really good. Now for some decent weather and the gods of airbrushing to smile and off we go with top coats.

Not the shape they almost ended up in. I need to put these to bed soon, move onto something that’s not old Airfix

I really think it’s time these old soldiers were retired. You are making a great job of them Mick, but it must be a real struggle.

Thanks Tim, I think I’ve been spoilt with most of the kits I’ve built, but I agree on retirement

                    Well Mick,
Despite all of the woes, you've got them to this stage, and they're looking good to me.
Carry on mate, they'll look pretty good in the end I reckon!

I'm sorry Mick as I thought I had posted a comment (insult) on these before. I do have to admit that taking a huge step down in scale has not affected your modeling skills at all Sir. I would imagine staring and working with such tiny parts for so long, would induce more naps at the bench though. It appears you have whipped these into pretty good shape and the end is in sight. Drive on my friend!!!...

                        Prost

Don’t write them off out of hand Mark. The more recent stuff is excellent. The Katy ambulance I’m building, for example, is as good a kit as anyones. The only issues are of my own making….The Spitfire I made for the recent group build was much better than the Tamiya mosquito that was my next build, yet Tamiya are supposedly the gold standard…..

The Boulton Paul Defiant i recently did was an absolute pleasure, and, the Blenheim i`m currently doing is proving to be just as good so far:thumb2:!
